Window looses focus after mouse wheel scroll

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Window looses focus after mouse wheel scroll

Post by *-donald- »

If the window (in the Brief view) contains much files so that the scrollbar is visible and if I then scroll with the mouse wheel, th TC window looses the focus.
After that if I click on a file, I do not see if it is marked or not, because TC is not active.

"Smooth scrolling in listboxes" changing does not show any effect.
Using TC 8.51a x64 under Win 7.

Does TC become "white"? Windows does this when a program doesn't respond. However, this shouldn't happen just when scrolling, even in brief view with many files...

No, it doesn't become white, and is still responding, but not active, like if you click with the mouse outside the window on the desktop.

That's strange, it's like the focus is stolen by some other program. Does anything happen when you press Alt+F4 when this happens?

It's interesting, everything works like if the program is active, Alt-F4 and the menu with e.g. Alt-F works,
I can enter the subfolders with mouse-double-click, but I don't see which file or folder is selected.
The only solution is to click on the desktop and back to TC, so all is ok until I scroll again.

Now I see that this problem is not only at TC, but it is seen at other programs also, not at every, but on some others.

So this seems not to be a bug of Total Commander.

Are you using the standard Windows mouse driver, or one from the mouse maker?

I did not find an original mouse driver. Now I tested a new mouse, and it is working.
