Bug? - [text] in rename tool

I had the need to add [text] at the end of many filenames but the multi-rename tool takes [ and ] with any text as an erroneous command. It would be nice if TC only filters out known commands like [N] and [C] etc but leaves the rest as plain text.

I also tried to escape the brackets like so: \[text\] but that didn't help.

Just an observation.
