As suggested, I post this info in this forum about my freeware Folders Popup, compatible with Total Commander.
Folders Popup 101
For those new to Folders Popup, this freeware is basically a favorite folders launcher, triggered by the Middle-mouse button (or other configurable hotkey or mouse button). Folders Popup is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 (available in English, French, German, Dutch, Korean and Swedish). In a few words, here is what FP is doing:
- All your favorite folders, documents and web pages at your finger tip – press the middle mouse button (or press Windows-K) *over* a file dialog box, a TC window, a file Explorer window or the desktop to popup your personalized favorites launcher.
- If your mouse does not have a middle button, you can choose another trigger in the Options dialog box.
- Hold the Shift key while pressing the mouse middle mouse button (or press Shift-Windows-K) to popup a new File Explorer window (or TC window or tab) from any window.
- The "Special Folders" menu gives an easy access to Desktop, Document, Pictures, My Computer, Network Neighborhood, Control Panel and Recycle Bin.
- The "Recent folders" menu lists the recent folders memorized by Windows.
- And much more...
Now, more about Total Commander integration in Folders Popup...
- At Folders Popup startup, the app prompts you to activate Total Commander support automatically if the software is found on the system.
- Use the Middle-Mouse button in a TC window to navigate to user favorite folders, special folders (My Computer, Network Neighborhood, Recycle Bin, etc.) and recent folders reliably and seamlessly using TC internal commands.
- In Options, choose to open new folders in a new TC tab (default) or in a new TC window.
More FP features will be available to TC users when a new TC internal command becomes available.
