Shortcut key display error
I assigned shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+/ to go to the root folder, but it looks like this function was actually assigned to CTRL+SHIFT+\ instead.
Just a note: There already is a shortcut assigned to go to the root: Ctrl+<.

My keyboard is marked well with these keys.

When I press CTRL+SHIFT+/, nothing happens. When I press CTRL+SHIFT+\, TC goes to the root directory.

Oops, sorry. Didn't know there is a difference in shortcut assignment due to keyboard layout (it's Ctrl+< on German layout only).MVV wrote:Why Ctrl+<? It is just Ctrl+\.Dalai wrote:Just a note: There already is a shortcut assigned to go to the root: Ctrl+<.

That's because Ctrl+\ is assigned to this command by default (see Keyboard.txt) and there is no command associated with Ctrl+Shift+\ so Shift is simply ignored. It doesn't work if you have explicitly assigned Ctrl+Shift+\ to some command (e.g. I have associated Ctrl+Shift+OEM_US\| with cm_GoToLockedDir).mikeyww wrote:When I press CTRL+SHIFT+\, TC goes to the root directory.
I've used Ctrl+\ for years in all file managers (except Explorer, but wait, it isn't a file manager) and it seems to be quite logical to use Ctrl+\ to go to \.Dalai wrote:Oops, sorry. But now I see that you're correct too:
Keyboard.txt wrote:CTRL+<
Jump to the root directory (most European keyboards)
CTRL+\
Jump to the root directory (US keyboard)

Thank you.
