Double click on disconnected FTP tab opens new tab

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Double click on disconnected FTP tab opens new tab

Post by *adoeller »

instead of closing the existing one.

reproduce:
- establish an ftp connection
- go to an other tab
- close the ftp session (timeout, shut down on the other side, ...)
- double click on the ftp tab. it is supposed to close.
- on each double click, a new tabs opens with the path of the last active tab

Cheers,
Alex

It's not a bug - the first click actually activates the tab. Try a mouse wheel click (middle click) to close the tab without activating it.

I will try the middle click.

Any other (non FTP) tab closes on double click. only the ftp tab opens new ones, while trying to re-establish the connection.

I think FTP tab closes but then TC opens a new one because it connected to server. Local tabs don't create new connections so they are just closed.

BTW UNC folders may also be a pain for double click because TC may hang while reading their contents...
