Transparent mode!!

It would be very cool and useful it TC could be run in transparent mode! :D

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the point. I've tried tiptop (and a slew of other programs) and as soon as you make anything transparent, everything (or the transparent app) becomes downright sluggish. And this is on a 2.5GHz machine with 512MB of RAM!

I am using TNT2, 500MHz, 256 MB on my secondary PC (XP 1a) and have no probs. The more apps are transparent the more graphics card power you need.

Note that all window management with alfa lower than 255 is processed by the gpu, not the cpu, my transparent windows are going smoother than non-transparent ones... :D

So are mine: ATI 9600XT clone.

The new crop of video cards are quite fast and reasonably priced. ATI seems to have the fastest cards for the money "this month".
