IniEd INI file settings?

Post by *Boofo »

Can anyone tell me how you add settings for the IniEd lister plugin? The IniEd.ini shows as a 0 byte file and I thought it was supposed to have syntax highlighting but I'm not sure what settings to add to the INI file. Is anyone else using this plugin?

Just do a right click into the lister window while viewing an ini file and select "Options" entry ...

Ah, there it is. Thank you, sir. ;)

I wonder why that was never added to the readme file. Or is that how most of the lister plugins work for options?

Yes, indeed. Plugins do not modify Listers internal menu.
This means a private context menu is the most clean way to do it.

BTW: The same way you get the settings for Filesystem Plugins. Just do a right mouseclick on the acc. entry at Network Neighborhood ...

I can think of several that works that way:
Imagine
SGViewer
IMGView
ICLView

But some have their own menu or tabs where the configuration can be found, and others have to have their ini files edited manually.

Hi

I saw that on the Russian TC forum there is a very vivid discussion and development of this plugin, here on the English pages it seems that the plugin is semi-dead.

 It would be great if the author (or someone else who knows the current state) could give some information here for the non-Russian users.

:?: I saw that still in current Beta 3 the shortcuts (on TC 8.51a 32 bit German) are all displayed in English, but only one is display in (semi?-)German. And this one is wrong: The English string "BackSpace" is displayed with "Umlaut" (which are the German diacritics ÄÖÜ äöü ..) - and that's wrong. There are no Language-files; I'm wondering where the string comes from.

:?: If you have set "Win 7 x64, Display Screen 125%", then the "About"-Dialogues looks strange.

Hi, Peter
This is latest Beta of IniEd: http://www.stayathome.ho.ua/files/wlx_inied_2.0_BETA3.7z
I'm surprised too, and I'll check this description of shortcut :)
I plan to add multilanguage support in next version after stable release 2.0

Which locale settings of your Windows 7 ?
