ghisler(Author),
Why don't you want to make it dynamic? It will increase speed and decrease memory ammount when number of commands is small, and allow any number of commands via some allocations when number of commands is very big.

I was just making fun of Windows 10 ;-)
I'm alright with the existing or the new limit in TC.

For those who don't understand German. The linked article reports that Windows 10 has a bug that makes the start menu go crazy when trying to add more than 512 items.

I'm using static arrays in many places because the code is much simpler, and easier to check for buffer overflows.

Haha! Me likes 512 items! I want the same feature in TC's start menu too. :)

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3 (very rarely nowadays).
x64: Clients/Servers - Win10/Win11 and Win2K16 to Win2K22, mainly Win10 though.
