Slow in folder change

Post by *Cobras »

I am currently using v. 6.03. Whenever I double click to open folder, sometime it took 5 - 10 sec to open folders. It does not happen to all folders. It happens randomly. I have two XP-compters with the same version of Total Commander. The lag happens to both computers every moment and everyday. It did not happen to previous version. Is this a bug? George

:)  Hello !
• I didn't noticed such a problem under Win98 SE (2 PCs) and XP-Pro with TC 6.03. Now, I updated to 6.03a.
• Maybe have you a virus scanner which has an auto-update ? So, it could scan now some directories contents, slowing down their opening… ?
* Please, try to disable the AV (if present), then let's know what occurs.
  Kind regards,
Claude

Does this occure only with TC or with other programs too?
What folders are "touched" by this problem? All the folders on local disk or CD/network/mapped drive folders?
I have no such problems, but it occures for network neighbourhood directories.
