[wish list] concerning LISTER
Wish list for tc's LISTER:
1. Option to keep Lister window 'on top'
Already requested before and workarounds given
here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=547
and here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=894
but would be nice if just added to TC.
2. Option to start Lister in default lister mode (as-if it no plugins are installed) before loading the plugins. Now Lister always starts with plug ins, even when I just want to textview a file. Some plugins take a long time to load or crash with erroneous files.
Also mentioned here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=3948

I agree with that, only problem, I dont know how to realize that on the fly. Say I want that functionality only sometimes, but usually I'm happy with the plugin, since that is why i installed it. So how to prevent lister to begin with the plugin on the fly, that is my question.2. Option to start Lister in default lister mode (as-if it no plugins are installed) before loading the plugins. I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
Not efficient---

• For "2)" : I tried to use cm_UnloadPlugin but nothing happens, all plugins stay loaded… ?
2Valentino
• That acts for image-plugins I guess, but what about the others (i.e. PDF etc. ) ?

It should work for all plugins, but unfortunately that is not on an insect as Maxwish probably wanted it to be.That acts for image-plugins I guess, but what about the others (i.e. PDF etc. ) ?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Unload doesn't disable plugins. It is meant to be used primarily before updating a plugin (eg by plugin writers) so that the existing copy isn't "in use".

YES, this was what I was looking for!Valentino wrote:About 2:
It's easy (if I understood you correctly):
Lister->Options->Turn off the option "Load bitmaps as graphics at startup".
The description Load bitmaps as graphics at startup did not make this clear for me that this also worked for plugins...
This label is from before that the Lister Plugins were introduced and IMO should be changed to something more descriptive as Load plugins at startup

Have a control key. Say if you launched Lister with the Control key held down, no plugins would be loaded.I agree with that, only problem, I dont know how to realize that on the fly. Say I want that functionality only sometimes, but usually I'm happy with the plugin, since that is why i installed it. So how to prevent lister to begin with the plugin on the fly, that is my question.
