[wish list] concerning PLUGINS

Post by *Maxwish »

Wish list concerning Plugins:

1. All Plugin Configuration buttons on 1 page in the configuration menu. Or any other way of making those menu's more accessible (e.g. internal commands to be used on buttonbar). Especially getting to the Listerplugins requires a lot of clicks....

2. in Options: Filesystem Plugins List
Use a list with the PluginName and Path in 2 columns instead of separated by a dash (-). This to improve legibility and preferably to be able to alphabetical sort both columns by clicking on their tabstop headers.

3. in Options: Lister Plugins List:
Adding horizontal scrollbar, as often a great part of the EXT information doesn't fit into the window.

4. in Dialogue box: 'Pack files'
An APPLY button to store chances in configuration (checkboxes and radiobuttons) and them being able to exit with CANCEL. This avoids the workaround of having to press the OK button to create a dummy archive (that must be deleted later) before changes are stored. -requested before-

5. in all the plugin configuration dialogue boxes:
Some kind of mark (eg. in colour red) of all plugins that can't be found (due to changed pathname or deleted plugins). The problem now is that when plugins are deleted or moved, TC will still list them in the configuration lists as-if they are installed correctly.

1 - yes I also asked for it and Christian said "Yes, good idea. Maybe I will create a new plugins page in the configuration dialog." but.. still nothing :-(

2,3,4,5 - true

6 - Adding (as parameter) possibility to automaticaly use %COMMANDER_PATH% in new added plugins. now I have to change it manually every time. There is such option in WCXTweak.

A really good news, hope to be true early.

All TC 6.0x versions are just bugfix releases. Since a new user interface feature requires translation, it usually takes several weeks between addition and release, so I reserve such changes to large updates...

Can I conclude from your response that you will consider these points for the next major version ?

If so it would be really great.
