LAN-Plugin connect to a server in a domain
I had this already working but my phone crashed and after a repair I had to install and configure everything from scratch.
Here it goes:
- I can connect to my home PC (Windows 7) without any problem
- I can connect to a server at work which is in a domain with ES File Explorer.
- When I try to connect with TC LAN Plugin Beta 9 (should be the most recent) to the server I get a connection error: Failed to connect: 0.0.0.0<00>/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (the 'x's stand for the real IP)
I tried to insert the server in several ways:
domainname:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/sharename
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/sharename
domainname:servername/sharename
and how do I have to insert the username?
domain\username or just username?
So it could be that I still missed the correct way to insert the connection data or it could be a bug in TC
Any ideas?

Doesn't work for me. I always get "Unknown host: Failed to connect to server".
I tried with:
domain\server/share
domain\server-IP/share
domain\server
As I said, I had it working with an older version and it works with "ES Datei Explorer"
Is there an archive somewhere with all the older versions? Then I could try with them. If so, do I have to use matching versions of TC + Plugin or is it enough to just install the older plugin? Do I have to uninstall first?
Was someone else able to connect to a domain with the most recent TC version?

You can find all older plugins here:

It would be very helpful if you could tell me which is the last working plugin.

I finally got it working (with the current version) with these settings:
First Box (Servername/Verzeichnis):
serverip/sharename
Second Box (Benutzer/user):
domain\username
Third Box (Password):
password (no problem with this)
Perhaps it would be better to have a separate setting for the domain, so the user doesn't have to know and the plugin would just "do the right thing"?
It is quite amazing how many possible combinations there are to combine four values (domain, Servername- or -ip, username, sharename), even more if the separator is unknown as it was for me initially (I had tried / . \ and space).
Well, the final solutions looks very plausible but still a little bit more help to get the user there would be nice.

Hello @all,
i experienced the same error
0.0.0.0<00>/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (the 'x's stand for the real IP)
when connecting with the tc-android-app and the LAN-Plugin.
I tested all your suggestions without success.
Then i facepalmed myself:
i was using afwall+ (Android firewall), i also checked that tc itself has all permissions. But in fact i missed the extra item in afwall+ for the plugin "LAN-Plugin".
After setting the right permissions for "LAN-Plugin" everything works as expected!
tl;dr
check your firewall settings twice if TC throws the error "0.0.0.0<00>"
btw.: sorry for my english

I started getting this error last few days when booting a XP PRO laptop to safe mode with networking even though other PC's on network could reach machine shares. The Android devices (with both ES File Explorer and TC + LAN plugin) could NOT reach file shares. I did repair option in windows OS installer but that did not clear it. Somehow the network setup was corrupted (BSODs too which was why I was running in safe+network mode). I deleted all the network cards and reinstalled drivers and that cleared BSODs and Android problems. Very weird whatever caused it. So far Ethernet card is stable and everything is working. Will try WIFI card drivers in a few days.
You also get this error if Zonealarm software (ie a firewall) does not have the android device listed as trusted.
