cm_ShowQuickSearch Always On Top

I want to cm_ShowQuickSearch (filter input box) always on top & positioned by me. I this possible?

Just displaying it all the time would overlap the statusbar content. There has been a discussion on this a while ago:

I read the topic, seems currently there's no solution?

All things discussed there are just suggestions. There is no public information if Christian has found a solution that he rates better than the current and worth the effort.
