Hi!
This is fairly annoying, because I have to rotate back just to start total commander otherwise I'll have poor readability.
It may only be smaller or an entirely different font, I can't tell just from looking.
Here's how it looks normally:

and when I start TC rotated:

the wrong font is retained if I rotate back:

Wrong font used, when starting with a rotated screen

That's because you are using resolution specific settings and
"[1920x1080 (8x16)]" is a different resolution than "[1080x1920 (8x16)]"
Workaround:
Add "ResolutionSpecific=0" to the "[Configuration]" section of wincmd.ini and rename the section "[1920x1080 (8x16)]" to "[AllResolutions]"

You should add this to your wincmd.ini:
Information about this setting can be found in the TC help, section 4.b).
Oops, too late.

Code: Select all

Ouch.
Thanks for the tips. Isn't there a GUI way to do this?
I'm surprised this is intentional. Especially since it's done completely without user feedback or control.
So TC just saves for whichever resolution it's first started with and anything you do in the GUI from there on only changes that? That's bad...
Edit:
I don't get how this works. I saw several sections for several resolutions.
Now that I made the changes I see the proper font sizes, I don't know why I saw 8pt for both...

But I get the same font configuration shown in the settings (DejaVu, 8, 238)That's because you are using resolution specific settings and
