Rubberband selection, middle click, auto scroll.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Rubberband selection, middle click, auto scroll.

Post by *avada »

Hi!

I was wondering whether I could set TC to use rubberband selection (or the Norton Commander style selection) to the middle mouse button.

But then I remembered it used to enable autoscroll? Is that not the case because of a bug? Or was it removed? (Maybe it got disabled somehow?)
To be fair I remember it being rather unusable. It barely scrolled at first then sped up so fast that it jumped at the beginning/end of the file list immediately.

Anyway. If autoscroll is unavailable, maybe we could have a setting to set either of the two mentioned selection methods for the middle mouse button. Or perhaps choose between them and autoscroll if that feature still exists.

Strange indeed, looks like Microsoft removed autoscroll - it doesn't seem to work in Explorer or file open dialogs either. :(

Huh. Well, it's not a huge loss, seeing how horribly it worked. Firefox's, Chrome's autoscroll is way more usable...
