when going out of special view, default view is different

Post by *zaffi »

I have a specific view (full, name=90, ext=30, attr=30, 1 colum files).

I defined a rule to change the view to "music" when i enter my music folder.

When I get out of that folder (e.g. backspace), the view is reverted.
But it is reverted to another default (bried, 2 colum files, name=40?, etc.),
and not to the default I'm used to.

It's reproducible, and happenes in other similar cases (i'll post more situations when i'll find another pattern)

Just edit the view mode named <default> to what you perceive as your default. I agree that the current default <default> is a bit strange.

Indeed "brief" as default was not intentional, it just has value 0.

thanks. i edited the <default> and everything is fine.

so now there are 2 defaults?
the default i'm currently using,
and the <default> custom view.
It should / could be mentioned somewhere, because other users will experience the same thing.

"bug" solved.
note to other users: don't select "unchanged", since it will just keep the custom view also when the custom view rules don't apply anymore.
