What overlay icons? My Google Drive folder doesn't have any overlays at all. Maybe I need a newer Google Drive version? Or they have special meaning?

Confirm bug "overlayed icons are not shown for folders"

my situation:
I am using SVN Subversion, which puts little overlay icons on versioned files and folders.
With 8.5 version, these icons are shown for both, files and folders
with 9 version icons are shown only for files, not folders. Windows Explorer shows icons for both (files and folders)

Windows 10

Best regards,
David

Same problem with overlay icons of TortoiseGit. Overlay icons are shown for files, but not for folders.

Confirmed.

I use TortoiseGit here too. The overlay icons of folders are missing.

Confirm missing overlay icons on folders.

Also TC 9.0 Beta 1 ignores settings of show of icons for folders. He always uses system icons for folders even if the option "show special icons for folders" is selected. See pictures below.

First - 8.52, Next - 9.0 Beta

Just noticed that marking a folder with space bar will change to the correct overlay icon (after TC has calculated occupied space).

Confirming bug report; evident on my system with Dropbox installed.

Dropbox's status icons display perfectly in 8.52, but very randomly in 9.0 - particularly noticeably missing on folders.

Also confirming that after typing space, and folder size is calculated, the correct icon appears.

Confirmed with TortoiseHg.

The folder overlay icons appear only if you select the folder with the space bar - but soon disappears again as you move about.

Win10 x64

TC 9.0 B2 X64 - no overlay icons for network shared folders! In the x86 version everything is all right.

Also, TC 9 always uses system icons for all folders! How to return display of folder icons as they were displayed in version 8.52?
