Refresh-lag-on-focus

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Refresh-lag-on-focus

When switching from Chrome or Excel to Total Commander it takes about 1 second for the directory tree to refresh, one pixel-line at a time. With dual-directory trees, I have to wait twice so each tree can update.

But wait, there's more! It only happens when i switch from certain applications (e.g., Excel and Chrome). It does not happen from others, like FireFox and IrfanView (a picture viewer, for example).

So i could alt-tab from Chrome to FireFox to Total Commander FASTER than switching to TC directly from Chome (for example). If you can lead me in the right direction to fix this lag, please share! No mapped network drives, Win7 Ultimate x64 on mobile i7 processor and 16GB RAM, NVIDIA 650M.

Maybe it's a problem with swapping? Chrome eats a LOT of memory even with 16GB RAM, so TC may have been swapped out of memory. But I have only 8GB and don't see this - but I only use 2-3 tabs in Chrome at the same time...
