Find in subdirectory of archive

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Find in subdirectory of archive

Post by *SailorMax »

Steps:
1. Choose any archive with many directories (A/ and B/) and files within them;
2. Enter inside it (Press Ctrl-PgDown)
3. Enter inside any directory inside it (B/)
4. Press Alt-F7 and start search anything inside it

Expected: Search result of B/ directory of archive

Actual: Search result of root directory of archive

This is a known limitation, it's currently not possible to search just in a subidrectory of an archive. You can see that in the search dialog: The "Search in" field shows the name of the zip, not the name of a subdir in the zip.
