[9.0b2] Viewer uses for temp files tc dir not user temp dir

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0b2] Viewer uses for temp files tc dir not user temp dir

Post by *cuiviemen »

When I try to view file (F3) in zip the tc tries to use (probably for extraction) into c:\Program Files\totalcmd\_tc instead my user temp dir as it was in 8.x.

This happens when both %TEMP% and %TMP% point to a location which doesn't exist or isn't writable.

Have reset env properties to defaults and now works (even that TEMP and TMP pointed to proper directory which was r/w for the user). Thanks for pointing me to proper direction.

ghisler(Author),
Maybe it is better to use %LOCALAPPDATA%\GHISLER folder in such case?

That directory doesn't exist either when using portable configuration.
