Using Synchronize directories dialog.
I try to use only the keyboard, not the mouse, but since version 9.0 (I tend to think since beta 3) I cannot reach all the controls in it by just pressing tab.
Particularly it's essential for me to be able to reach the combo at the center, where the 'file types' can be specified (i.e. where you read '*.*' ), without having to use the mouse.
But now Tab pressing gets stuck when you reach any one of the two top editors where the directory name is.
Also the buttons [->][=][!=][<-][duplicates][singles] cannot be reached with tabs stops, but maybe that limitation was already present in the previous versions.
Last thing: would it make sense to remember the 'file types' choice that we last made without having to set it each time we use 'the Synchronize directories' dialog? I use it all the time.
Thanks!

Sorry, they cannot be reached because they aren't real buttons. Currently there are no plans to change that.

Can not confirm this issue. TAB key works fine here.Marcello Ptr wrote:But now Tab pressing gets stuck when you reach any one of the two top editors where the directory name is.
That was never possible. Also the buttons [->][=][!=][<-][duplicates][singles] cannot be reached with tabs stops, but maybe that limitation was already present in the previous versions.
Save the sync settings using F2 key (the button with the folder in the upper left corner), and restore them the same way the next time you open the dialog.Last thing: would it make sense to remember the 'file types' choice that we last made without having to set it each time we use 'the Synchronize directories' dialog? I use it all the time.

True. I had to reboot the computer and the issue went away. Weird.Dalai wrote:Can not confirm this issue. TAB key works fine here.Marcello Ptr wrote:But now Tab pressing gets stuck when you reach any one of the two top editors where the directory name is.
Is there a reason for that, if I may ask? it would be handy for whoever uses only the keyboard as much as possible.Dalai wrote:That was never possible.Marcello Ptr wrote:Also the buttons [->][=][!=][<-][duplicates][singles] cannot be reached with tabs stops, but maybe that limitation was already present in the previous versions.
Nice! I didn't know that.Dalai wrote:Save the sync settings using F2 key (the button with the folder in the upper left corner), and restore them the same way the next time you open the dialog.Marcello Ptr wrote:Last thing: would it make sense to remember the 'file types' choice that we last made without having to set it each time we use 'the Synchronize directories' dialog? Thank you,

Re: [9.0b3] Synchronize directories tab stops
Ghisler already answered this question: They're not real buttons (I'm guessing Delphi TSpeedButton or something like that); they can't get any keyboard focus and are not part of the tab order list.Marcello Ptr wrote:Is there a reason for that, if I may ask?
Agreed. But it's up to Ghisler to change that.it would be handy for whoever uses only the keyboard as much as possible.

Since the issue seems to be the same as I reported here, and this is now fixed, I suggest we can move this thread to Fixed bugs forum as well.
