Is it possible to untar directory list to memory immediately after as removing bzip2 and gzip layer? This would eliminate the unnecessary extraction of encapsulated tar into temporary directory.
Basically, I am saying that when entering a file with extension ".tar.bz2" or ".tar.gz", Total Commander should (wishfully) show contents of the tarball immediately as opposed to the single tarfile which needs extraction from gzip/bz2 to view directory list.
TAR.BZ2 and TAR.GZ

The problem is that the list of names is spread over the entire file, so TC would have to unpack the internal TAR file anyway. Since this can take a while, it shows the TAR file first.
