move out from .tar.gz problem

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

move out from .tar.gz problem

Post by *SailorMax »

Steps on left panel:
1. PgDown on any .tar.gz archive
2. PgDown on insided .tar archive
3. Enter on [..]
4. Enter on [..]

Result: current directory = source directory - Ok

5. PgDown on any .tar.gz archive
6. PgDown on insided .tar archive
7. Press Ctrl-Right
Steps on right panel:
8. Enter on [..]
9. Enter on [..]

Result: current directory = temp directory - Is it bug or a feature?

After doing 6. look at the path line over the file panel - it will show that you are in a subdir of the temp directory (because TC has to unpack the inner .tar archive to temp dir to open it), so, off course when you do 7. you will be in the path of the temp dir already.

No, it's not a bug - the inner file is in TEMP, so Ctrl-Right will bring you there.

@ghisler(Author): But after step 2, you also can see current path as path to temporary directory, but [..] return you on right place. Why you change this logic for copied panel?
