Pin to Start doesn't work

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Pin to Start doesn't work

Post by *SailorMax »

Steps:
1. choose any exe-file
2. right click on it
3. choose "Pin to Start"

Actual: nothing
Expected: Pinned tile to start menu.

Tested on Windows 10 v1607 (b14393.10)
Total Commander 9b07 x64

Similar operation in File Explorer work fine.

IIRC this is a known bug somewhere in Windows 10 which has been discussed in the forum; search for "pin to start" to find the threads.

User Petermad found out that it "works fine, but ONLY IF there is a .lnk file in either %$COMMON_PROGRAMS% or %$PROGRAMS% pointing to the executable that that you right click on in TC".
