Hello,
if you expand the list of subdirs in the current dir (hover mouse over the path in the left/right panel title and click on the button with the triangle) and press ALT+TAB to switch to another application then the list of subdirs remains on the top (and active).
32-bit version seems OK to me.

Indeed I'm currently not closing that list in the 64-bit version when you switch to a different program. I will consider it.
