I've also a strange problem.
I've two "real" drives, a CD-R(E:) and a DVD(F:) and a virtual Drive(G:) (CloneDrive, from CloneCD)
When I enter the Ripper, I got the dir's "Convert", "CloneDrive"(G:), "Settings" (No E:/F:!!)
Then I tryed to mount an image of a CDA into the CloneDrive. TC shows in G: a list of the .cda-files but in Rip the drive is no longer availabe. but instead two dir's without a lable ("[]", "[]"), I think this are E: and F: but I can't read from them (with Rip, TC does fine)
And: All the time in the Rip-Settings I could say to ignore E: and F: (no G:) but this hadn't any effect.
If I dissable the CloneDrive (or add more then one) I get the same effect as with an image loaded.

it appears that acd.info has a size limit of 65,482

i get "unable to write to c:\windows\wincmd\acd.info"
i can hovewer if i remove some previous entries from it

reason for having such limit seems quite odd to me

thx in advance for any feedback on that matter

Win 9x limit

Post by *Clo »

2matis_

:)  Hi!
• This is usually the text file limit under Win 9x for some text files, like *.ini...
• There were several topics giving infos about this, and how to skip this limit...
• Sorry if isn't the problem...

thx
it could be the issue ,but i'm not 100% sure about it
however size limit is about the same
i found 1 topic about it , no solution tho

2SCHMaster
maybe it would be a good idea to be able to choose a filename for storing cd databse or maybe use some innocent extension by default
of course only it it's the same issue as with .ini files
cheers

CD-Ripper is an excellet plugin ... the only thing I miss is the possibility to extract/convert tracks/files to FLAC format (http://flac.sf.net) ... could this be added?

Too bad. I thought it wouldn't be too hard ... after all, FLAC is now part of the Vorbis framework (like OGG), so I was hoping there wouldn't be too much work involved in adding support for it ...

Oh well, I'll keep going with the two-step process for the moment.

is this normal?

when CDripper is working, with conversion dialog box on the top (2 Vu-meter mode) if i change a window (right in my cas) the ripped file location change to the new location which is in the right window !
Surprizing !!!

I am on win2k. Cdex Ripper works perfect, but I get incorrect winaspi installation from the ripper plugin

Any ideas??

Registry settings like in the fix, but no "exclude miniports"
