[9.0 b14 x64]: Directory synchronisation Flaws

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0 b14 x64]: Directory synchronisation Flaws

Post by *TifKag »

In B14 the buttons in directory synchronisation (Right, Equal, Different, Left, Double, Single) can't be turned On or Off when i want to synchronise network directories on 2 NAS devices.

(I have a new NAS, and an old one for backup of the new one)

In B12 it works Flawless.

Synchronisation on local drives works ??

I cannot find any differences in the sync tool code between beta 12 and 14 which could cause your problem. Can you give me more details, please?

1. How do you access the NAS devices? Windows share, e.g. \\server\share? Drive letter? FTP? WebDAV? Other?
2. What's the path? Sync doesn't work with e.g. \\server alone, you need to go into a share like \\server\share, or a subdir like \\server\share\subdir

I don't use mapped drives.

I use network paths like synchronise \\server1\share1\subdir1 with \\server2\share1\subdir1

Strange, this works fine for me, I have just tried it.

Could you try again after restarting Total Commander? If it still fails, please reinstall beta 12 and try with that again. Maybe something else changed...

Beta 12 can still be downloaded here:

Do you still have the 9b14 wincmd.ini? If yes, could you send it to my e-mail support at ghisler dot com, minus the history and other sections? This could help me to find the problem!
