Hmm, "2/b2/2016" with b a space works fine for me. It just doesn't work if the FIRST character isn't a digit. This is intentional.

On rechecking, I agree with that; I must have tested only with a leading space (before the first digit). (While people probably won't type in a leading space, it's quite easy to do when copying and pasting, by selecting a bit too much.) TCMD continues to be my file manager of choice; it's a great program. I originally came to it, long ago, simply because of the pop-up directory tree, which avoids drilling down through a long succession of directories when I know a subdirectory name. It's always been very good for many things, and keeps getting better. And there's a plugin for just about everything.
