[9.0RC4] - Foreground / Background operation state changes

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0RC4] - Foreground / Background operation state changes

Post by *kzaabox »

Hi!

I don't know if it is a problem or "by design", but I experienced the following:

When for example a copy operation is paused and you click on the Background / foreground button, the operation continues without clicking on the start button.

The same thing happens when you try to close the copy operation window by clicking on the "X" or the Cancel button and in the popup window (User abort!) you click on the "Cancel" button, the operation continues instead of remain paused.

Additional info:
Let's assume you have paused copy / delete operation window in the foreground.
When you click on the "X" or the Cancel button, the label of the "Start" button will be immediately changed to "Pause", so it seems that TC try to continue the operation just because the user clicked on the "X" or ton the "Cancel" button, but it will be suspended until the modal "User abort!" window has been closed with the "Cancel" or the "X" button.

This is by design and always has been this way.

Not exactly by design, but unfortunately it cannot be solved differently.
