Icon in task bar if program is pinned

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Can you describe what the exact problem is, or provide a screenshot that illustrates the issue? In which way is the icon wrong?

Upload it to a site of your choosing and link to it here. IIRC there's also some topic from Stefan2 somewhere in the forum that explains it in more detail.

The Windows icon cache is damaged. I have successfully used the tool "Icon-Cache-Clearer" to fix this, but there are also manual ways to do this:

Click on "Download" in the upper right corner. It's actually just running a .cmd file with the following content:

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

CD /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local
mkdir Backup
Copy IconCache.db %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Backup
del iconcache.db
echo Finished!!!
echo You May Now Close This Window
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe
Exit
