When using option in main menu "Show -> Only selected files", the icon at this option is not changed (recessed graphics of the icon does not show up) and the previously used option seems to be applied at the moment because the icon at the previously used option is not changed and keeps having recessed graphics.
It seems to be just a visual/GUI bug.

This is intentional: It's not an option which you turn on and off, but instead it's a command which you can apply repeatedly. Example:
1. Select all *.txt files
2. Use "Only selected files"
3. Select all files starting with 'a'
4. Use "Only selected files" again.
If it were a toggled option, choosing the already active "Only selected files" again would actually show all files instead of hiding the no longer selected files.
