Where is "a feature" in Total commander like copy
Where is "a feature" in Total commander like copy files from multiple directories to one dir (from 5-50-500 or 15000 directory's), without path and directories names.
Let me explain situation,
If I have 50 dir with 3 file in each dir and I need to copy all files from 50 dir in one dir, but without pathnames, there is no way, beside packing 50 dir without directories names and without paths names in one zip or one rar and than copying it all (files) from that rar or zip file into designated directory, this is just example how can I workaround in this case.
I world like if copy option in Total commander, had one option when you start to copy, like, copy files "without directory's and without path names"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Life will be easy with this feature.
I tried several copy plug-in's like "slow copy" ,"file copy" and I didn't tried "kill copy" and I didn't find what I need.
Do you have any suggestions or can you create some plugin???

Try this :
1° Go to the dir who contain the wanted dirs
2° CTRL+B (show all files of subdirs in one pannel)
3° CTRL +A (Select all)
4° F5 (Copy to the target)
Enjoy

Thanks its good tip for start ,but it's not what I need ,because ,if I have 1678 directory's in one dir and I want to copy all files from 56 similar directory's into one dir and all 1678 dir's had same nfo like heritage.nfo I cant preserve nfo's because I must find manually specific nfo that is in conjunction with that 56 dir's.
Example
dir (lnds2401-lnds2433 are directory's)
lnds2401 contain files:Spro2k4.rar and legends.nfo
lnds2402 contain files:Spro2k4.r00 and legends.nfo
lnds2403 contain files:Spro2k4.r01 and legends.nfo
till ...
lnds2433 contain files:Spro2k4.r32 and legends.nfo
and I want to combine all that files into one dir with one function like I insert this 33 directory's start f5 copy and in option you got one or two new options like copy all files from dir's without paths and dir's or something similar.
Example
dir (lnds2401-lnds2433 are directory's)
lnds2401 contain files:Spro2k4.rar and legends.nfo
lnds2402 contain files:Spro2k4.r00 and legends.nfo
lnds2403 contain files:Spro2k4.r01 and legends.nfo

Hoecker sie sind raus!
Your plural apostrophes and ,strange ,comma's ,don't ,make ,reading ,easier, really...
1. WordCommaSpace, NOT WordSpaceComma
2. There is no plural apostrophe! nfos, NOT nfo's!
With the plugin http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/treecopy.html you can copy from branch view preserving the path structure. So you can press Ctrl-B, copy all files but .nfo using normal copy and copy the nfos using the plugin.
Proposals to include such an option into normal copy mode already have been made, just use the search form you can find on top of each forum page.
If that's not what you want draw a picture with MSPaint with source and target directories and link it here, maybe this will clear up what your intention is.

icfu are you some how mad on me .
If you are why, I am trying to put my ideas in best file manager on the planet , is it forbidden to do that or you think, this bloke has only 2-3 posts ,lets f*** him, why icfu ,why flaming ,this is not that kind of forum.
I am Administrator on two forums and I am moderator on 7.
I didn't find similar request on forum ,because of that I did request this function.
You sad spacecomma or ( ") ,where ICFU , when I put comma I meant to specify "this is important part" like yelling.

I have told you to use the search forum for "TreeCopy" because the request to include "copy with paths" has already been made a dozen times before. I have not accused you to not have searched the forum at all, why should I?
I don't even know if TreeCopy will fit your needs because our language barrier is obviously too high. I have only guessed that TreeCopy could be a solution for your nfo files.
Your other post http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=4241 is even harder to understand, that's why I have told you how commas are set and that there is no plural apostrophe to AT LEAST eliminate comprehension problems due to a lack of keyboard typing knowledge.
word , word , word is wrong!
word ,word ,word is wrong!
word, word, word is right, you got that now?
I don't care how much forums you administer, I just have tried to be helpful and to solve your prob. I have proposed TreeCopy, if it isn't what you need just draw a picture, no offense.
Whatever you do, enjoy and calm down, there was neither a hidden insult nor an obvious insult, there was no insult at all.

Au contraire my grammar Lord, tree copy is the opposite of what I want, forget about grammar for second and read what I am saying.
It’s just plain English.
"Without path names" means exactly what it says, while you impose your grammar on me, you could be so kind as to answer my simple question without any further stressful intrusions.
I didn't ask for a lesson in grammar, I merely wanted your help.
So, either you can answer my question and be happy for helping someone; or simply decline because there are far more important things in life than grammar and punctuation marks.
I am waiting for your generous answer,
Best regards Loopdemack

norfie wrote:2Loopdemack Calm down boy. icfu wasn't flaming and he wanted to help you. It would be much easier, if your explanations were more clear. One point to make your explanations clear using correct punctuation and grammar. That's all what icfu was saying.
BTW: I didn't understand your problem.
TCmd hasn't got this feature. It exists only the solution, which Vansumsen described.Where is a feature in Total commander like copy files to one dir from 5-50-500 or 15000 directory's , without directory's and without path names.
Have a good day.
I am calm and polite, read my post above your, did you saw any verbal harassment to someone from me?????
I know tmcd hasn't that feature, because of that I stated in my post "Where is a feature in Total commander" like we wait it 4 years for this feature.
I saw, on other forums, requests for this feature.
You to norfie (Have a good day)
So you have to do this:
icfu suggested the same with the difference that you should copy the nfo files (and only them ) with treecopy to save all of them with their path.
sheepdog
- Move the desired directorys in one folder
- press [Ctrl]+B - So you see all files without folder
- put the cursor on one NFO files and press [alt]+ [num+] (e.g. select all files with the same extension) or select them with [num+] and a self defined rule
- Press [Ctrl]+M to rename them - use [N][C] - and all nfo files get a counter
- Press [Ctrl]+[Num+] to select all files and copy them with [F5]

Oh my god, I know that, I stated, with this feature life will be so easy, I'm using WinCMD from the beginning, right after NC and rest of the dos based utils.
From the beginning man.
If I had option like I requested, my job will be much easier, because I will cut my time from 5h to 15min for 250000 dir.
In one month, I must move and arrange about 7,5-15mil dir and files.

That is what icfu means: Your posting didn't seem to be a 'feature request' but a question to all, how you can manage the described situation. And there were many people who wanted to help you.Loopdemack wrote:Oh my god, I know that, I stated, with this feature life will be so easy, I'm using WinCMD from the beginning, right after NC and rest of the dos based utils.
You probably should try to formulate a bit clearer what you want the next time. And maybe it helps to follow the hints that icfu
gave.
By the way: In my opinion it's a bit special to build in a function for the described szenario.

If you are all that then you know your conversation with Icfu belongs in private Email and not on this forum. I think you are quite capable of finding the Email button at the bottom of the posts of Icfu.Loopdemack wrote:I am Administrator on two forums and I am moderator on 7.
About your problem:
After reading your message about ten times I understood what you meant. The pictures are much easier to understand. Note that the file name of the second picture has a capital P, so the link does not work.
I think an option "copy files without path names" in the copy dialog could be a useful addition to Total Commander.
Maybe this work around will help you a bit:
- Select the dirs and files you want
- Open the Search dialog (ALT+F7) and search for "*.*"
- Feed the results to the Listbox
- Mark all files and none of the directories (setting Configuration/Operation/Selection to "Select files only" could be useful)
- Copy the files to the target directory
- Select the dirs and files you want
- Open the Search dialog (ALT+F7) and search for "*.*" and exclude directories (advanced tab)
- Feed the results to the Listbox
- Mark all the files
- Copy the files to the target directory
