Problem Windows phone keyboard: always capital first letter

BUT .... the problem is the Windows phone keyboard

On setting up an FTP login, the Windows keyboard automatically capitalises the first letter. On one of my accounts the login is case sensitive. Login failed.

Work around! type a SPACE before the login name and then type everything ( in my case) in lower case and then go back and delete the SPACE.

Then it works

Can't you just press the shift button before typing?
