Help! I can't quite get it working. I'm a heavy HPG_ed user already and would really really love a little extra like php highlighting and such. So your plugin sure sounds like an absolute must.

I picked up 2.1 from TC.net earlier today. I have the same problems installing as stated earlier in this thread; TC locks up and crashes soundlessly when I install through LS Plugin interface. It just doesn't seem to react when I put it in manually in wincmd.ini.

I'm running Win XP SP1 danish fully updated.

Am I just missing some setup feature(s)? Something obvious?

SynPlus didn't want to register 'till I did it manually in the inifile, and still does not seem to work from F3. I was so hoping for an improvement over my beloved if buggy HPG_ED.

I'll provide you with a danish lang file when I get it done.

TC locks up and crashes soundlessly when I install through LS Plugin interface.

I've had this issue just once on one of the PCs, Win2000Eng+SP4+TC603.
On the second try, SynPlus21 was installed without any troubles.

Tip for SCHMaster:
This was the first installation of SynPlus on that PC. I'd think this is due to some missing ini-file or the info in some ini-file that SynPlus uses.

Well it doesn't get better on mine after more tries, but I suspect you're on to something. For hpg_ed I had to move 1 or more .dll or .ini files to the TC program folder to get it working. Maybe the same is the case here? Unfortunately Babelfish didn't help me much on the docs.

I'll go turn off a few plugins I've had problems with before for testers, we'll see what this is. It's already tested without hpg_ed loaded, that one was obvious (or should I say obviously too obvious ). That, at least, wasn't it.

I think I've through this forgotten to mention that I, too, have all my plugins in a TC sub folder named 'plugins'.

I just downloaded SynPlus 2.1 and have found a few bugs:

1. When I launch SPlusEditStart.exe. it stops responding before the window is even finished drawing.
2. The Python highlighting doesn't seem to work or only works sporadically. If only I could attach a screenshot.
3. When a file is loaded (for instance a .py file), the proper highlighting isn't loaded, you have to manually select the proper highlighting.
4. I have a SynPlus.ini (from a previous version evidently), but I don't see an easy way to update it to include the various file extensions (other than doing it manually, which isn't easy).
5. When I launch the 'Edit Highlight Scheme' dialog from within Lister the title bar reads " ERROR: File C:\Program Files\totalcmd\Plugins\SynUS\Highlighters\NONE not found". If I launch it from run_hglsett.bat, the titlebar reads "???". In both cases, I see "???" to the left of the text boxes that read "<Select highligher>", etc.

Reason - incorrect installing SynPlus.
Run run_hglsett.bat and press F5 (find and reload HGL-files)

1) Thx for new version!

2) I think i found a bug:

-I made synplus an EXTERNAL editor, by using SPlusEditStart.exe

-I opened a file in it
-I changed something but I did NOT want so save these changes
-I pressed ESCAPE and I was asked "Do you want to save..." whith the options Yes, No and Cancel
-I didn't want to save, so I pressed ESCAPE again, thinking Escape would mean NO or CANCEL

But then the editor closed, and the changes were written!???

This doesn't happen with the editor used als plugin:
Here you get back to the editor when pressing Escape twice

Here is a little more detail on the bugs I have found.

If I launch it from run_hglsett.bat, the titlebar reads "???". In both cases, I see "???" to the left of the text boxes that read "<Select highligher>", etc. However, if I load a file in SynPlus (through Lister) and select 'Edit Highlight scheme', then I see English in place of the question marks.

I also found that when I selected 'Edit Highlight scheme', many of the schemes had no entry for 'Extensions' (such as Python)

I can confirm both.
Also when I installed from within Total Commander through Configuration Options> Edit/View > LS-Plugins after adding sunplus and clicking Ok TC just went out... this on Win 2000 and on Win XP (Pro I assume, since this was at work).
After a restart the new version did work.
