[solved] BarLimitLines=1 doesn't work in TC 9x
The parameter:
[Buttonbar] BarLimitLines=1
doesn't work in TC 9x any longer - and it is not mentioned in neither the help file or in history.txt that it should be changed, so I guess it is a bug.

The parameter still works. Make sure you have only one [Buttonbar] section in your INI file. (Parameters in a 2nd and further section will be ignored as it seems...)petermad wrote:The parameter:

I have only those sections available in wincmd.ini:elgonzo wrote:The parameter still works. Make sure you have only one [Buttonbar] section in your INI file. (Parameters in a 2nd and further section will be ignored as it seems...)
Code: Select all
[Buttonbar], [ButtonbarVertical] (and [ButtonbarCache])
and still the command does not work in TC 9.0a.
There is, however several .bar files, eg generated with Ultra TC Editors - Button Bar Editor.
In my opinion this wincmd.ini entry should be applied.

But, I found out that BarLimitLines=1 only works if the vertical buttonbar is hidden.
If vertical buttonbar is visible, hide it (right click on it) and restart TC.

I can confirm petermad's findings (for both TC32 and TC64).
As soon as i enable the vertical buttonbar, TC stops respecting the BarLimitLines parameter (no restart of TC necessary).
After disabling the vertical buttonbar again, i need to disable+enable the primary buttonbar or restart TC to make it respect the BarLimitLines parameter again.
Also, disabling+enabling the primary buttonbar makes TC respect the BarLimitLines parameter again even if the vertical buttonbar is still enabled/visible, which indicates that the cause/trigger for the bug is related to whatever happens when the vertical buttonbar is enabled and initialized.

That's what I meant by writing. "If vertical buttonbar is visible" (initially)After disabling the vertical buttonbar again,
