Drive Names

Post by *tcebob »

I have 5 cd drives (including 3 virtual). is there a way to have the tool tip show a name rather than the generic "CD-ROM"?

Yes in wincmd.ini write:
[DriveHints]
E=ZIP drive

or similar, see in the help at:
4. Configuration and switches

a. Command line parameters
b. INI-File settings: wincmd.ini, wcx_ftp.ini (for FTP)
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Really? In my opinion a user defined drive description is a benefit when the drive is empty, but when there is a medium in it then I would prefer to see the volume name as it is the case with non-removable media. As far as I know this feature is still missing.
