Thank you Lefteous, very good summary. Though I would have been very proud if I were the first to translate a thread Blackdog plead for.Lefteous wrote:I have selected some key statements from the german thread and translated them:

You know, the thing I really hate in sheep dogs is that doggy stench - a friend of mine kept one of them ones - it was just terrible, really. And you know, my fellow Sheepdog, you have a lot in common with it. First of all, my dear "brother", it was absolutely stupid, but that's not the point, actually. The problem was in it's importunity - one can't made a step w/o having it under his feet. And it shits everywhere. That friend of mine had to teach it but it was absolutely useless. After all it was harmless creature, but I just can't stand it for all that reasons. But that sad story has the happy end - that sheep dog got some lethal dog's disease and died soon. Well, who knows...[/face]

I love dogs, especially black ones. This is a picture of my beloved Black Dog named Uschi - if you are interested in.
But I will end here, because it's off topic.

You missed something - no one ask you for anything any more. Just a clear ascertaining of the fact that you played that "celka-nevidimka" game too long. So as you can see, I don't need even to understand you now.[/face]

After reading the german thread I wasn't sure if a blacklist feature is really necessary or if a predefined selection type, which includes directories of course, is the better solution.
Let's face the situation that I have defined a selection type and activated it. It should work fine until I want to use an additional selection type to show only image files for example. What should I do now? Create a new type that includes my blacklist selection type and the image selection type? Or do we need a new selection type feature were multiple types can be activated at the same time? Of course both solution could do the job, but in my opinion a blacklist would be the much better solution.

You already did - you do the things you don't want to with enviable permanency. Didn't I told you, it would be a long thread...

LOL
But actually it's a sin to laugh about such a vulnerable person, yeah - that's no good. But what the hell - who said I have to do only good things?!

Yep, this is not the same things. For instance I absolutely do not need "blacklist" but do need the support of absolute paths in filters. E.g. for coloring (or excluding from it) files with some attributes only in certain location (e.g. read-only files only in %TEMP%). "Blacklist" is useless in such a case.[/face]
