I would like to quickly have the results of a search show up in the working pane similar to how quick search works (which allows me to filter in the main pane) but recurse through all subdirectories like how the normal search works. Is this possible? If not, are there alternatives?
I would love to be able to, for instance, say give me all *.zip files that are in this path or any below and copy them somewhere else. Windows explorer will do this with their normal F3 search but for some reason this is not possible with TC? I could certainly be missing something as I am new to this program.
Thanks,
Mills

Thanks for the response. After looking into it further using your suggestion, it appears what I want is a macro for search then a click on 'feed to listbox' to put it in the main pane so I can mark and do 'something' to the results. Is there a single hotkey method of doing so?Ovg wrote:2Mills

Re: Recursive Quick Search
It seems that you're not fully aware of the branch view (Ctrl+B or Ctrl+Shift+B on selected dirs).Mills wrote:I would love to be able to, for instance, say give me all *.zip files that are in this path or any below and copy them somewhere else.
Just use it in a dir of your liking and use quicksearch in it.
TC plugins: PCREsearch and RegXtract
Re: Recursive Quick Search
You are correct and that is pretty much what I was after, thanks! I can't believe how much faster everything recursive is in TC when compared to explorer.milo1012 wrote:It seems that you're not fully aware of the branch view (Ctrl+B or Ctrl+Shift+B on selected dirs).
