Many functions are not new. Sure, is a way for every one to do. But in my opinion those function are not implemented yet in TC, plugins made or I don't know how I can use them. Let's talk about each of them.
The order is unimportant.

1) I need a sticky, like an organizer with 'TO DO' list, calendar with personal events, maybe with a quick-edit-list (smartpad) for notice with date and hour insert before.

2) Will be funny if we can insert a digital clock customizable in button bar or menu zone.

3) Create one ore more adress book with fields for e-mail and URL

4) Show clipboard

5) Memory information

6) Character map

7) Detachable tabs (not looked like now) - it solve many requests

TAB shortcuts

9) Slide show in quik view - in a folder

10) Assign macro for reppetitive commands

11) Apply a command to all selected files

12) Start menu (under F2)

13) Select files by color and/or extension

14) Set screen saver options

15) Game - easy one


4TC (maybe 4ghisler)

- delete single file when a lot of them are selected
- a tool for formating suport

Why we must use a lot of utilities?

• You can find that as an external small program from my Web download-page ("URL", freeware, but in French); launch it from a button.

Memory information

• Already available : Commands >>> System Information >>> Software-tab

Character map

• Simply, create a button for charmap.exe in <\Windows> dir., or another better similar utility…

Apply a command to all selected files

• That works already for some commands, in example : "Change the attributes"

Detachable tabs (not looked like now) - it solve many requests

• I have that in a text-editor… Not wonderful, a read-only window; but something in that style is planned, it seems ("Container" or "extra-window")

I care your opinion.
You be allright, most wordeful for TC is 'customizable' interface and add plugins. Remember, exacly what I sad: 15 plugins prop and 2 for TC.

My digital world is empty without TC. Remember that! And I wish to TC to be the best in the world. For this aim I give my support.

• I would be rather in favour of such addings. But currently a lot of users needs the diskette to get the registered program still.
- Indeed, the most users download TC from the Web, but not all…
* So, a "Standard" release including extra-features doesn't seem possible immediatly.
* That issue has been discussed many times, you could have a look to the JohnFredC profile (messages); John has an opinion which is so close of yours, I think.

Only this: more or less functions implemented from start.

• That can / must / be added is absolutely the Author's business. We may only express wishes to him…
* However, I heard something about a possible release of TC in a CD (just a rumour…). If confirmed, that'ld allow a lot of options / additions.

I have idea of IMHO very usefull plugin. It should be file system plugin which lets to explore disks of chosen computers with UltraVNC (like TCRadmin with disks of computer with Remote Administrator).

Speaking of MacOS...

Any word about an HFS(+) plug-in? I've been waiting for it since the FS Plug-ins appeared. I don't know if there're many people with a Mac and PC, and the MacOS is working hard to be more accesible to PC users, but I think it may be interesting.

TC is the first thing I open when I log in in the morning ..
It's the first thing I install when I need to use a new computer ...

Now, the thing I'm missing is upgrading the search content function to show me a [user defined] window arround the found text , while the seach continue in the background.
WinGrep does exactly that, and I have defined it as a toolbar button, but it comes up very slowly, which drives me insane.
I use TC search all the time, just to realize I need that functionality, and then drop back to wingrep.

Also wingrep has a DOS style search (term1*term2) which is very usefull to search for LINES of text that contain both terms (note again that it searches them within LINES, not entire files)

It would be very nice a lister plugin for yahoo messenger archive.
There are already several offline viewers, but a tc plugin would be easier to use.
Perhaps a content plugin too, for search purposes...

I'm interested in browsing-watching .3gp file movies (from Nokia mobiles (ex., 6600)) from TC (preferably, with Ctl-Q view) (like I do now with AVI movies with the Multimedia viewer).

I've looked for "3gp" in all the Forum with 0 results.

Up to now, I've been able to install the Xilisoft's x-3gp-video-converter.exe standalone viewer and converter, but it is too heavy and uncomfortable (it forces me to use the mouse, when I'm a keyboard fanatic) for my limited-resources PC (moreover the conversion to AVI is in a format not understood by my AVI viewer).

Does any of you, forum mates, now if any of the available viewers for TC allow to watch these movies?

If not, I suggest any volunteer to write one.

And meanwhile, do you now of any other light and non-expensive 3gp viewer?.
