Hi.
If compare binary files (size ~ > 100 KB, can not exactly say, on a small files a few kilobytes its not reproduced), then after a few (approximately 3 - 10, depend of filesize and/or quantity diffs

) clicks to 'Next difference', title in statusbar - 'XX differences found' replaces to 'Press ESC to Abort (XX%)'.

With text files this is not, also with some exe (eg if compare TOTALCMD.EXE 9.12 vs TOTALCMD.EXE 9.20, then for some reason everything is fine).

TC 9.20 beta 3 x32 & x64, OS Win 8.1 Pro x64.

Thanks, I will revert it back to XX differences found once the search for the next difference is complete. This was added for very long binary files with only one difference at the end, which can take very long to search.

This should be fixed in Total Commander 9.20 beta 4, please check!

I checked with the files on which I found the problem - now everything is fine.

p.s. But - only with TC x32 - sometimes for a fraction of a second flashes 'Press ESC to Abort (XX%)' instead 'XX differences found' when click on 'Next difference'. With the TC x64 this is no.

p.p.s. With TC 9.20 beta 4 x64 this is also there, but less often reproduced than with TC 9.20 beta 4 x32.
This is no at all with TC 9.12 x32 & x64 and with TC 8.52a x64.

This is correct - TC switches to 'Press ESC to Abort (XX%)' while searching. This is meant mainly for very large files with very few differences, so the user knows he can abort the searching for the next difference.
