New forum software TEST

Currently I'm testing the newest phpBB3 forum software, to replace the over 10 year old phpBB2 forum software. Once it works as desired, I will migrate all users and posts to the new forum, and move the path to /board/ as before.

Please report if anything important is missing!

I made the following changes to the default software:
1. Added languages German, French, and Czech
2. Show images as links, not inline (legal reasons)
3. Added links to imprint and privacy policy
4. Changed new user creation to inform about privacy rules
5. When posting, show privacy warning about notifications
6. Disabled caching (Pragma: no-cache), it caused many problems
7. Quick reply: Added "Quote" button to quote selected text
8. Quick reply: Click on user name on the left to quote user name
9. Cookies warning in the header
10. Site logo: Transparent Total Commander image
11. Ranks: 1-5 Total Commander icons
12. Change language on the forum index page when not logged in
13. Copied feed.php to rss.php

Are there any themes? I love the Cobalt theme of the current forum.

Unfortunately Cobalt no longer exists for phpBB3. However, there are several other dark themes. You can try many here:
https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/style/prosilver/demo/3.2

I would prefer to install a maximum of 1 or 2 more themes, because customizing a function requires modification of each of the installed themes separately.

I like the currently used prosilver style. I would suggest as a possible alternative: Allen Style - SUBSILVER.

OK, I have installed the themes "Black" and "Allen Style - SUBSILVER", please test them!

I have modified "Allen Style - SUBSILVER" to show the user details on the left and the post on the right as it was in this forum. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with these styles!

Hi Christian,

I noticed a typo/miss spelling on the Registration page (page after agreeing to the PP), in the left sidebar under Privacy Policy Statement. Statement is shown as Stement.

Also, while I felt confident I was reading the CAPTCHA characters correctly, apparently I was incorrect. Took me three trys.

Just use your existing user name. I will start with a fresh forum database when I migrate the board.

Could you please consider to include the redesigned TC discs for the discs (Junior Member, Member, Senior Member, Power Member, Site Admin) and the header logo?

Test phase 2: In addition to the test forum, there is now a second, into which I have imported all the posts and users from the old forum testweise:

The test forum is set to "read only". With this one you can test whether the login works, and try out features like the search.

As soon as everything works, I will delete the database, set the old forum to read-only, and re-import.

Please test!

A known bug of the import script: All user languages are reset to English. I will try to change the script there before converting again.
