Hmm... I don't know, i don't believe the examples you are describing apply to this forum. They seem more like examples from an active social forum. This is a support forum for a certain software application. OK, it does have a somewhat social aspect (we're all a big company of people here), but at the end, i'm convinced that a few days may be enough. Perhaps the 8-days limit of the old forum was ok...

Re: New forum active now!
Well, fixing broken links after a long time is still possible when necessary. Contact a moderator or admin and ask for the link to be changed. Link changed, some control instance verifying the request, no chance for spammers or something. Problem solved.

You are right - with "Prosilver" it works - but no longer with "Prosilver (user data: left side)" - and it used to work with that theme too.with Chrome and with Firefox using prosilver

Re: New forum active now!
I have now testet "Prosilver (user data: left side)" on PC with FireFox, Chrome, Opera, SeaMonkey, Safari and Internet Explorer 11 - it does not work in any of them.
It does work on my Android phone with Chrome and HTC Internet browser - where it is shown above the topic anyway, not to the left.
But if in Chrome on Android I choose the option "Ordinary website" (translated from Danish - I don't know if it's called that in English Chrome - Menu -> scroll down - third last option, before Settings), then is still doesn't work! This option makes Chrome show the page as on a PC.
BTW - it is not just the username that is not active as a link to the users profile - it is also the avatar.

Re: New forum active now!
I can confirm petermad's observation. Neither the user name (under the avatar) nor the avatar can be clicked. Inspecting the page source or contents (e.g. with the browser console, F12 in Firefox) shows that the link itself is still in the classes username-coloured and avatar, but somehow they're unclickable. I don't know enough about HTML and CSS to investigate that deeper, maybe the links are overlayed by some other page element.

Re: New forum active now!
They are not only swapped from the right to the left side, they are also swapped with the user name under the message subject.petermad wrote: 2018-07-31, 17:54 UTCBTW - it is not just the username that is not active as a link to the users profile - it is also the avatar.
For "prosilver left" you can see: (inactive avatar and *username), (subject and username)
For "prosilver right" you can see: (subject and *username), (active avatar and username)
There's something mismatched with the style code…

Re: New forum active now!
Yes, fixed for both styles.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2018-07-31, 08:43 UTCThis should be fixed now. There is something wrong with the styles AllanStyle-SUBSILVER and prosilver (user data: left side) on mobile device, that is individual post options (e.g. Replay with quote, Report this post, Delete post) are disabled. Can anyone confirm this?
Re: New forum active now!
My test results:
Click on the UserName (under the avatar)
Black & AllanStyle ---> inserts 2[ b]UserName[/b] in Quick Reply (like old board) (the link is javascript:pasteN('username')
prosilver & prosilver (left) ---> opens user's profile (needs fix) (the link is memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=***)
Click on the avatar
Black & AllanStyle ---> opens user's profile
prosilver & prosilver (left) ---> opens user's profile
I got the same result in both PC and Mobile

Re: New forum active now!
I can't click on the avatar in prosilver (left). Even the Contact link at the bottom of the user details is somehow unreachable, except for some rare instances. In the regular prosilver all is fine, user name and avatar are clickable. Tested in Firefox 52.ts4242 wrote: 2018-07-31, 21:32 UTCClick on the avatar

Re: New forum active now!
Here is what I see:
Alanstyle:
Click on avatar and *username under avatar = nothing (no cursor hand).
Click on username in topic title = opens user profile.
Black:
Click on avatar and username in topic title = opens user profile.
Click on *username under avatar = puts username in Quick reply.
Prosilver:
Click on avatar and username under avatar = opens user profile.
Click on *username in topic title = puts username in Quick reply.
Prosilver (user data: left side):
Click on avatar and username under avatar = nothing (no cursor hand).
Click on *username in topic title = puts username in Quick reply.
So 4 different behaviors. Notice that *username is placed in different places - sometimes in topic title and sometimes under avatar.
Notice - for this particular posting: viewtopic.php?p=344605#p344605 clicking on "nsp" under the avatar works.
Tested with Firefox 62.0b13 (64-bit), and Seamonkey 2.94.4 so far (Prosilver left in more browsers)

Re: New forum active now!
This was caused by my recent change (removing the z-index option). I have now re-added it for desktop view, and added a z-index of 0 for mobile view. What happened - I can no longer click the name of a poster to have his profile shown.

Re: New forum active now!
It seems to work for all 4 themes now. It is a little confusing though that *username is placed under the avatar in Alanstyle and Black while it is placed under the Topic title in the two Prosilver themes.
