Links to plugins' last updates ?

I have not enough time to come to this forum every day, but I'm always very interested in the last updates of several plugins I use.

When I read a topic and understand a new update has been released, I'm obliged to look backwards for the last download link to the plugin.

Would it be possible to have a "sticky" topic in this forum, in which only the plugin writers could announce and update the links to their plugin(s)?

It would be much easier for users to be sure to get the last updates...

Even more faster would be to mention the direct link (if possible) in the post where the author announces his plugin/update. And in this case no additional page/topic is needed.
Some authors give the link but some don't.
