TC 3.0b2 multi-rename to different folder fails on sdcard

Multi-file rename to different folder fails on sdcard. For example:

Search for: abc
Replace with ../new/xyz

fails with message "Rename failed".
Works fine with internal storage.

Verizon Ellipsis 10 tablet
Verizon Android 5.1
TC 3.0b2

P.S. The above error occurs whether the new folder exists or not.

Might be useful to put something about this in the help file so people like me don't think it's a bug.
