Network - slow!

See, what happened!

I have really huge network, some of computers works on different operation systems and retrieving list of computers or list of files on some remote computers is really slow process. Some times it may spend couple minutes... It's ok, nothing wrong... But, there are two issues:

1) This process of reading or refreshing file(computer) list cold not be interrupted
2) I do not like spend long time looking on frozen window, and while Total is reading file list, I'd like to continue my work, but so far so Total had read list brining its window on front initiate refreshing reading file list...
I believe Total should not make refersh file list on event "onActivate" or has this option configurable...
