[solved] TC 9.5b1 - TC freezes when trying to move custom columns

To reproduce:
1. Open any Custom columns setting
2. Click the "Add column" button
3. Click to the far right of the new column to enable the column move control

TC now freezes and can only be killed via Task manager.

This only affects th 64 bit version. Tested under Windows 10 1930 and Windows 7.
Can be reproduced with a clean ini file.

Not confirmed on Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1903 (OS build 18362.418).
Tested also with TC_clean_x64.ini.

I managed reproduce it.

Steps to reproduce:

• Install TC 9.5 beta 1
• Create a new custom column configuration with at least 2 custom columns
• Save it and then reopen it for editing
• Click on the far right of one of the columns in it, where a "scrollbar" for moving it would be

Result:
TC gets stuck, probably in some loop as its CPU usage takes one CPU core.

At least 2 columns - so there wouild be a reason to move one of them

I don't now about the Pro version, but I can reproduce the bug on Windows 10 Home (x64) Version 1903 (OS build 18362.418) with TC 9.5b1 x64.

I have tested twice (again after umbra and with his instructions) - without any problems.
... and again at 3:26 p.m. ... no problem.

Are you sure that you are clicking on the place where the "scrollbar" should be before it's visible? I mean, after you open the edit dialog, you cannot click on any of the custom columns. As you can see in the mentioned video, you need to click on that empty space right to them.

Sorry for the confusion - now that I have seen the video and the steps in the video,
I can see the behavior with Windows 10 Pro (x64) version 1903 (OS build 18362.418) the same.

The idea of creating a user-defined column view
- without name/title and
- without field contents
you have to come first, too.

You can skip even the column names I was just too lazy to fill them in, since it was irrelevant for this bug.

Thanks, I was able to reproduce it now even on Windows 10 1803. I will put the up/down button in the right location when just moving the mouse, not only when clicking there. This will also make it easier to click the right button.
