TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
@ghisler(Author),
Thanks for adding Dark Mode to Total Commander!
I am really happy it will be soon available for everyone. I tested 9.50 beta1 and I see you use almost black colour for windows. Could you use the colour like Windows 10 use? I mean not black, but dark...
Let me show you the screenshot from my machine - it shows Windows 10 explorer window and TC.

As you can see, Win10 uses $00191919 color - TC uses $00101010.
Maybe there should be used also $00202020 color for some area in TC?
How do you think?
Regards,
-Pawel

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Just select two less black colors than the default: "Configuration -> Options...-> Display.Color:"
"Background" & "Background 2"

I was not talking about colours of the TC list background.HolgerK wrote: 2019-10-16, 21:41 UTC Just select two less black colors than the default: "Configuration -> Options...-> Display.Color:"

I know I can change it -> http://www.meggamusic.co.uk/shup/1571294542/ssss.png
Dark Mode changes the color of TC window. I can set Background color (Config\Options\Display\Color) to $00202020 and Background 2 Color to something that I like - but I suggested Christian to change window color - $00101010 to $00191919 color (which is less dark and better for eye).

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
You can actually set the foreground, background and highlight colors for dark mode!
It's in Configuration - Options - Color - Others:
Dark mode:
Text color
Background color
Highlight

You are absolutely right!ghisler(Author) wrote: 2019-10-17, 08:42 UTC You can actually set the foreground, background and highlight colors for dark mode!

I forgot about "Others" options. Sorry!
But, you could change default background color to less dark (like windows explorer use).
Thanks for Dark Mode!!!

Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
"Define color by file type..." not work in Dark Mode?
Re: TC 9.50 - Dark Mode
Thank you very much Christian!!

For me it does work, but the colors are changed from those originally chosen, probably to try to accomodate to the dark background - see: https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/darkmodefiletype.png"Define color by file type..." not work in Dark Mode?

Any way to get rid of those ugly white 3D frames around menus? Also, drive button bar is still bugged (black text on black).

No, they are drawn by Windows. I'm using owner-drawn menus, but they only allow to draw inside the frame.Any way to get rid of those ugly white 3D frames around menus?
Please try the new beta 2! Simply run the installer again to get it.Also, drive button bar is still bugged (black text on black).
