Changer directory atttributes
Is it possible to change the attributes of folders only (change their date for instance) without changing the date of the files it contains ?

Yes, of course. Just don't select checkbox "Recurse subdirectories".

Change dir. attributes?

Hello, bonsoir,
• A priori, yes. I tested a hidden folder to change the attributes as "archive", that works. I didn't try to change the date ('cause it's a <windows> sub-dir), but I guess it might work. Under Win 98 SE.
{Off-topic : I sent you an email a while ago about TC SFX-headers and the newest WinZIP v.9, but I got no reply
… ? }
Best regards,

What can you advice, if I want to change attributes of subdirectories, not only files in them.
- Call the search window, navigate to tab "Advanced" and activate the checkbox "Attributes". Now activate "Directory". Leave all other attributes in indeterminate state. Switch to "Load/Save" and press the "Save" button. Enter a name like "Directories only". You need to execute this step only once.
- Open the desired directory where you want to set attributes of all subdirectories and execute the search.
- Go to the "Load/Save" tab, select "Directories only" and press the load button. Now start the search.
- After the search has finished press the button "Feed to listbox".
- Select all entries in the search result.
- Now activate "Files/Change attributes" in the Total Commander main menu.
- Don't activate "Recurse directories"!
- Change the desired attributes in the dialog and press the "OK" button.
