I have an issue with 7z plugin 1.0.1.0 plugin by Alexander Cherenkov
(not to be confused with "7Zip" plugin, which is discussed here), which seems to be related to possible Total Commander bug reported here. If to open .7z archive with pluginst.inf file inside (Total Commander plugin distribution archive), Total Commander doesn't show an offer to install the plugin.
Can anyone confirm there is no offer by Total Commander to install the plugin on try to open plugin distribution packed into 7zip archive with .7z extension (.7z sample)?

It's a waste of time, I think. This plugin was created for 7zip 4.x versions so it is outdated and may not support all features available in newer 7za.exe versions. It's so old that the file wcx_7z_plugin_1.0.1.0.rar does NOT contain pluginst.inf.

7z plugin here installed like that, wincmd.ini:
You can change manually PK_CAPS from 207 to 223 (or 735 for encryption support - as in Total7zip), restart TC and try again. What version of 7za.exe do you use?

Tried, doesn't solve the problem with not appearing auto-install dialog. 7za v. 4.29 beta from 2005-09-28 (I don't use 7-Zip program often enough to have a need for its update).
It doesn't matter. If Total Commander doesn't show auto-install dialog for .7z plugins packages with this plugin, it may happen with other plugins too.

Total7zip plugins show the auto-install dialog for the link you provided.

It doesn't support rar format - used by the plugin archive.
It's buggy - you should use at least the latest 4.x version - 4.65.
And it's too old - it doesn't support LZMA2 method which is default for 7 years now:

-------------------------
- LZMA2 now is default compression method for .7z format.
In this case old 7za.exe displays error message "Unsupported format" and creates zero byte file.
Why don't you use TC 6.0x or 6.5x? It would be as old as your 7-zip parts and pieces…

Thanks, I just tried to view with Lister pluginst.inf from sample .7z opened with 7z plugin and that old 7za.exe, and Lister shows empty pluginst.inf! It seems on opening .7z, TC unpacks pluginst.inf to temp location to show its content in Auto-install dialog, but since the file is empty, TC doesn't show this dialog at all.
