Option to disable Quick View on folders?

Option to disable Quick View on folders?
Is there an option to disable Quick View for folders (recursively showing number of files and folders) when the Quick View panel is activated?
Or changing this to showing only "direct" child folders and files?
Reason for asking:
Calculating this blocks further browsing when using the mouse (using the keyboard: no such problems)
Exiting the application ( clicking [X] or using Alt-F4) is also not possible during calculating used diskspace.
(tested with TC 9.12 x64 and TC 9.50B7 x64)
EDIT: To reproduce:
- browse to C:\
- Acivate Quick View panel (CTRL+Q)
- click with mouse on Windows
- try to click on a different folder (still using mouse)
(I know there are workarounds using the keyboard; no need to mention them)

AFAIK there is no such option.
You can install the DirSizeCalc Charts plugin: http://totalcmd.net/plugring/dirsizecalc_charts.html - it will show the size of the subirs graphically AND it can be stopped using the mouse.

Re: Option to disable Quick View on folders?
I did as you suggested and ... that works! No more "blocked browsing".
Thanks!
P.S. Does that mean that a self written Lister plugin that does exactly *nothing* could replace this DirSizeCalc plugin,
resulting in no disk usage measurement at all? That would be a good alternative (if that is how plugins work; this was the first one I installed, I think)

Re: Option to disable Quick View on folders?
Then I think I understand the concept. Thanks!
Re: Option to disable Quick View on folders?
There is also old tiny NoDirQuickView plugin but it is only available for 32-bit TC. I would be also glad to see such option in TC natively because default TC quick view for folders is quite annoying and useless for me.

There is also a plugin "htmlview" which also supports 64.bit, it just shows directory content.

Re: Option to disable Quick View on folders?
ghisler(Author),
As I see, TC supports background calculations for years, and the only reason why one may want to disable folder quick view - is that mouse clicks are disabled while calculating. Why don't you allow it? Is there a real reason to block clicks or you just want to prevent breaking calculations due to accidental clicks? In such case this must be optional because many users just prefer an ability to use mouse.

was there any development on this i missed?
it's really annoying (and no progress bar visible when the size is calculated feels like totalcmd is not responding at all).
can someone update 'NoDirQuickView' and make it usable with x64?

Re: Option to disable Quick View on folders?
You could use the plugin htmlview, it shows a simple list of files for directories.
